Dobwalls In their Centenary Season

For those of you who missed it, we broadcast a short promo video celebrating our Centenary year.

Back in 1921/22 a group of young lads wanted to play football in Dobwalls and they founded a football club that would grow and develop to what you see now at Lantoom Park.

The earliest record found to-date shows that Dobwalls, were competing in ‘the Foot Challenge Shield competition” in 1922. Playing against the likes of StCleer, Widegates, Polperro, St Neot, amongst others in a league format. No final league table can be found and one cannot say how successful Dobwalls were, but it proves the village had a team in the early days.
